I just finished re-reading Anne of Green Gables as an adult, and raising an ADHD son (red-headed, too!) - I also think Anne is definitely ADHD. Come to think of it, I'm sure many of our childhood heroes - the wildest, most creative, most-likely-to-get-into-scrapes, surely were too. I was googling to see whether any research has been done on this and found your blog.
By the way, I used to have the same wish - give me a job where I can get paid to read. When I finaly got my wish (editor) it was rather disappointing I'm afraid, because it's much nicer reading on the couch or in bed than by your desk at work. The books were dull, too. So I changed my career...
Better luck with yours!

Happy to hear that you love Anne of Green Gables as much now as you did when you were a kid. You said you want to keep reading about Anne ... just to warn you, the series gets a little bit dry in the middle of the series, but the last book in the series (Rilla of Ingleside) totally makes up for it!

However, I may be biased as Rilla is my favourite of all of Montgomery's books. ;)
